What
is Medikote™?
Medikote™ is a family of specialized PVD coating process
specifically designed to meet the stringent quality requirements
of the medical component industry. Medikote™ denotes a higher
level of detail at every stage: incoming inspection, part preparation,
fixturing/masking, deposition, and final inspection. Traceability,
critical process validation, frozen process control, continuous
improvement, service and delivery all stressed as part of this
process.
The PVD deposition
method used for Medikote™ includes the latest advancements
in cathodic arc deposition technology: our Electro-Magnetic Controlled
Arc Deposition (EMCAD) coating process. EMCAD utilizes a proprietary
macro-particle separation technique in order to ensure the highest
quality of coating deposition. This coating method provides low
temperature coating capability for temperature sensitive substrates,
while still maintaining very strong adhesion characteristics.
In addition, our EMCAD process will provide you with a dense,
ultra-smooth, thin-film coating superior to any other PVD coating
on the market.
