Our
Replikote™
C11 is hydrogenerated (a-C:H) Diamond Like Coating (DLC)
that has been specially engineered for the optical media
industry. The high hardness (3000-4200 HV) and low Coefficient
of Friction (0.1) of our DLC coating provides greatly
improved life and performance for a "Stamper"
side mirror and nickel Matrix - more than eight times
better than with TiN.
Our customers report that "Stamper" side mirrors
coated with our DLC coating perform up to 77% better than
mirrors coated with our competitors' DLC coatings. Furthermore,
reports of mold shot counts on Replikote™
C11 DLC coated mirrors that exceed 10 million are not
uncommon.
